Configuring the SNMP Service on the Server Side for the Windows 2008 Operating System
1.
Select Administrative Tools from the Control Panel.
2.
Select Services from the Administrative Tools window.
3.
Select SNMP Service from the Services window.
4.
Open SNMP Service, and go to its properties.
5.
Go to the Security tab, and make sure that Accept SNMP Packets from any host is selected.
6.
Click the Traps tab, and select the list of host IP addresses to which you want the traps to be sent with the community name.
